comforting therapist's office

I am an East Coaster turned Albertan, living in Calgary with my soon to be husband, Chase, and our beloved rescue dog, Boy. Along with being a therapist, I am a plant mom, tea lover and Netflix enthusiast. Listening to podcasts while I walk my dog, good meals with good friends and a text from a loved one are just some of the little joys in my life. My friends and family describe me as down to earth, sarcastic, playful, empathetic and funny (I think I am pretty hilarious too).

As a therapist, I want to honor people’s lived experiences and have them know that they don’t have to experience their journey alone. Therapy looks different for everyone; for some it is a safe space to explore themselves, others want to feel the feels, some want solutions, and sometimes we just need somebody to be witness to our experiences.

My Therapy Style is Supportive, Collaborative, Genuine & Calm

Other Ways To Get To Know Me:

My “Go-To” Therapy Models

I always knew that I wanted to become a therapist, but not entirely sure how I was going to get there! I attended the University of Prince Edward Island, completing my Bachelor of Arts, with a double major in Psychology and Anthropology. I loved being a student and I knew I wanted to work in a field that was dedicated to helping others - this led me over to Halifax, Nova Scotia to complete my Bachelor of Social Work degree.  My first ‘big girl’ job in the field brought me out to Alberta!

Several years of working in the field has allotted me the opportunity to work with complex children in the school system who were presenting with behavioral challenges, and supporting families who were experiencing a range of challenges such as mental health concerns, complex trauma and being underhoused.  I was learning so much from all the wonderful people I was supporting, and grew hungry to know more and help more, leading to the completion of my Clinical Master of Social Work degree at the University of Calgary, where I specialized in infant, child and adolescent mental health. For the past 5 years I have worked with many children, teens, parents and families all in different stages or phases in their life.
