therapy office

After spending a decade in Montreal getting my undergrad, being an artist and working with unhoused folks, I am currently trying to homestead on a small piece of land, with my partner and two dogs, where we will eventually have a therapy ranch retreat! People would describe me as creative, authentic, loving and accepting. Outside of work I am very passionate about building and nurturing community, pottery, music, yoga and playing outside, camping and animals!

I love getting to know new people, and learning to understand what makes them them, and what's getting in their way. Working together to solve these puzzles is such a gift for me.

I’ve heard a lot of stories through my work; you can tell me absolutely anything and I won't be shocked nor will I judge you. I will do my absolute best to make you feel safe, heard, accepted and empowered, so you reconnect with yourself, explore how trauma is stored in your body, and heal from the past. My approach is somatic, collaborative, and trauma-informed, focusing on building a healthy relationship where you can practice setting boundaries and communicating. I am deeply passionate about helping people heal from trauma, and getting to know their true needs and self.

With my personal experience in recovery and extensive work with people who use substances, I'm passionate about harm reduction, addiction, codependency, addicted family systems and recovery. I deeply value reconciliation, decolonization, social justice, and inclusivity, and approach each relationship with full acceptance and curiosity. I believe you know what is best for your own healing, and will respect your autonomy and deep self knowledge at all costs.

As a queer person in an open relationship, I bring lived experience navigating identity and discrimination. I welcome anyone who wants a therapist who helps you accept yourself and past, get you out of your head and into your body and reminds you of your innate capacity to heal.

My Therapy Style is warm, safe, fun, somatic and challenging.

My β€œGo-To” Therapy Models

I completed my Masters in Clinical Social Work at the University of Calgary with a specialization in Adult Mental Health and Addictions. My undergraduate degree was in Sociology, where I focused on gender, sexuality and race.

In Montreal I worked with unhoused indigenous folks at a warming shelter and an emergency covid isolation unit. I also worked in Iqaluit, Nunavut at a youth group home. In Calgary, I was a caseworker with newly housed people in active addiction, and an intern therapist in a detox/recovery center.

Before finishing my degree and landing in Private Practice, I was tasked with supporting the Calgary Drop-In Centre to develop a Trans-Friendly shelter where the unhoused trans community can feel safe and supported. My passion is working front-line with clients and community, and I will always be a loud advocate for supporting underserved populations, amplifying their voices and making our communities more inclusive.
