I’m a proud member of the LGBTQIA2S+ community, living in Calgary, AB, with my fiancé, Madisen, and our adventurous Husky/Shepard cross, Leia. Beyond my work as a therapist, I have a deep passion for photography and travel. I've been fortunate enough to travel throughout North America and have backpacked through Europe and Central America. I love exploring new places and capturing adventures with both digital and film photography. One of my favorite adventures was visiting Cannon Beach, Oregon, where I proposed to my fiancé. When I'm not working, you can find me spending quality time with my family and friends, whether that's snowboarding in the Canadian Rockies or playing recreational slow-pitch during the summer.

My own journey through challenges sparked my passion for guiding others, offering a laid-back, collaborative space rooted in anti-oppression and trauma-informed practices. My core belief is that judgment has no place when it comes to understanding others and their experiences. I bring empathy to every client, creating a shame-free environment where healing can flourish.

My Therapy Style is Compassionate, Humorous, Relatable, Reflective & Supportive.

My “Go-To” Therapy Models

Having dual bachelor’s degrees in Social Work and Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies from the University of Calgary has provided me with a unique perspective on addressing complex social issues and promoting holistic well-being. It has also equipped me with a strong foundation in trauma-informed and strength-based interventions, comprehensive assessments, counseling, and advocacy. This combination enables me to approach my work with a deep understanding of the societal factors that contribute to individuals' challenges while also focusing on the individual strengths that empower them to overcome adversity.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of providing support to diverse populations, ensuring that interventions are tailored to each individual's unique needs. I've always been dedicated to the principles of person-centered care, fostering collaboration, and empowering each individual throughout their healing journey. In addition to my work for Kindred Roots Therapy Inc., I also work for the Alberta Children’s Hospital as a Registered Social Worker and am currently enrolled at Walden University while I complete my Master of Social Work. I hold certifications in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Practice.

THERAPY SHOULD FEEL LIKE:

Falling off of a cliff and then finding the strength to get up, dust yourself off and keep strutting forward.
